Haha, pedals are a little further down the list for me. Next step: learn to play the damn thing :P A couple of the guys from work are willing to help me with this step, fortunately.

Okay, this will take a bit to set up, so bear with me. A coworker recommended them, so I checked the site out and found a starter kit with a guitar & all kinds of other goodies. I noticed that the kit was on backorder through 5-2-08, which was about 2 1/2 weeks to wait. "No big deal" I thought. "I can live with that". I placed my order and thought everything would be ok. Next day I get an e-mail from them saying my backorder had been delayed. I call them, and the service rep tells me that it was scheduled to be in-stock on 5-5-08. 3 days' wait, no problem. 5-5-08 comes and goes, and my status is still on backorder, so I call them. "We've got a shipment of them coming in later this week, and another shipment coming at the end of the month. I don't know which one yours will be filled with." Just for shits & giggles, I checked how far back new orders for the kit were pushed back to, which turned out to say 6-2-08. Another week goes by, and I call to see about the status again. "Your purchase is still on backorder" the rep tells me. By this time it has already been a full month that I've waited. I had another site offering the same item for the same price, so I cancelled the order and ordered from zzounds.com, which was able to ship on the same day. I checked musiciansfriend.com one last time, and the damn kit is magically "In stock and ready to ship", when not even 10 minutes earlier their customer service rep had told me my order for this exact same thing was on backorder. If it's in stock and ready to ship, why the fuck am I being told my order for this item (place a MONTH earlier) was on backorder still?
...and that, my friends, is why I have a negative opinion on musiciansfriend.com.
