The Golden Compass I'm pretty sure I'm tired of the protests against this movie.
So I'm going to say my peace about it.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, so if you don't want to see it, that is your choice.
But at least know WHY you don't want to see it, and don't just make the decision because someone else told you so. For example, if 100,000 people on Facebook join a group to protest this movie because the book the movie is based on is written by an atheist, it does not necessarily mean that you should believe them.
I hope this makes sense.
I mean, I'm not condemning anyone. I'm either a crazy liberal or a terrible Christian, but I think if you're going to protest something, you should read into it a little bit first. Don't just take someone's word for it.
Also, know that the protests are only giving the movie more publicity.
Example:
1) Dixie Chicks make an anti-Bush comment.
2) Everyone boycotts their music and bashes their cds.
3) They gain a lot of publicity, a lot of fans, and win 5 grammys.
P.S. I'm not an atheist or a communist or a terrorist but I do plan to see the movie and I do like the Dixie Chicks.

Yes I am replying to my own post.
Seriously, read into it.
I have read into it, and I have plenty of links, if anyone is interested.

That's cool.
If you made a movie, I would go see it.
