This interview was done at the Allentown, PA stop on the current tour. I am so happy that they finally addressed why they haven't played Cavity King live, yet. (You don't know how many times I have emailed them, begging them to play it. I even offered to buy them all dinner!) At least now I have closure!

I've been trying and trying to get them to play Oblivion live. In Tempe a couple weeks ago, Andrew gave me the same description. That it did not translate well live. A very large disappointment for me.

I have often wondered how they could work Oblivion live. The transition of the "From somewhere far, far away..." portions is the part that kept me guessing for almost 6 years now. The only solution I could even consider would be to have Randy or Steve take half of those lines.

I was lucky enough to catch the opening show of the independant songs to burn your bridges tour along with a couple or shows on tour. Steve and Randy covered the background vocals heavily.
However, what killed the song is that the chorus is accidentally anticlimactic. The beginning is is too climactic and the response to the call seems to kill some of the emotion, which hurt the live performance. It is musically one of the oddest things I have seen in a song while it is performed live. The audience gets confused. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qlacFmRGPgI

I went to the concert in Burleson, tx and they did Oblivion. It was wicked awesome! There were a few rough spots but other than that it sounded awesome.
